CIA World Factbook

The World Factbook, produced by the Intelligence Directorate of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is no longer printed by the U.S. government. All the information contained in it has been produced in a brand new website that is much larger and more encompassing than before. It is also updated every two weeks and therefore keeps up with changes occurring across the world. The Factbook is also downloadable from the web.

The World Factbook provides information on the history, people, government, economy, geography, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues for 266 world entities. The Reference tab includes: maps of the major world regions, as well as Flags of the World, a Physical Map of the World, a Political Map of the World, and a Standard Time Zones of the World map.
